Motorola  has signed a multi -year deal with 3D Systems(NYSE:DDD) to develop Project Ara, a line of modular smartphones that will be easily upgraded by consumers .Project Ara is a phone that users will be able to build themselves . In project Ara concept you decide How your  phone will appear .For example ,if you don't need Bluetooth ,you can change or remove Bluetooth module and install a larger battery block instead .

Someone interested in taking higher quality photos could install a larger camera module by removing another module which you do not need. Suppose you are in ruler area and no any source to charge your battery ,then no problem remove your camera or bluetooth module and change it into Battery module.

Avi Reichental, president and CEO of 3d Systems said:"Project   Ara was conceived to build a platforms that empowers consumers all over the world with customisation for a product made by and for the individual"

Phonebloks was a campaign that focused upon attracting the interest of OEMs by showing that there was an incredible amount of interest for a modular phone.
Like Phonebloks, Project Ara will consist of a structural frame called the endoskeleton ( you may say it "endo") that holds several modules. Modules include keyboards, batteries cameras, processors, displays and any other hardware feature that users have expect from a smartphone .Phonebloks: Motorola Partners With 3D Systems For Modular Smartphone Future In 'Project Ara’ will set a unique platform is a question mark for Motorola. However Eremenko said. “Our goal is to drive a more thoughtful, expressive, and open relationship between users, developers, and their phones. To give you the power to decide what your phone does, how it looks, where and what it’s made of, how much it costs, and how long you’ll keep it.”
