Samsung electronics launched the world's first smartphone with a curved display, a variant of the Galaxy Note which moves  a step closer to achieving wearable devices with flexible - even unbreakable - screens.The Galaxy Round's 5.7-inch (14.4-centimetre) display has a slight horizontal curve and weighs less than the Galaxy Note 3, allowing a more comfortable grip than other flat-screen models on the market, Samsung said in a statement.

The firm also said it has developed a battery in cable form, suitable for wearable devices, and expected to start commercial production within the next couple of years.Samsung's new curved-screen phone, available through South Korea's biggest mobile carrier SK Telecom, costs 1.089 million won ($1,000)"It's a step forward for having unbreakable gadgets and flexible devices eventually. But for now, the new phone is more of a symbolic product," said Hana Daetoo Securities analyst Nam Dae-jong,

The galaxy round is Samsung's attempt to gauge consumer appetite for curved phones although its lack of other eye-catching features means it is unlikely to be a hit, he said........

Camera performance
Nokia Lumia 1020's camera is surely a photographer's delight.

The 41MP camera of this smartphone works with the help of oversampling technology. The phone does not actually capture 41MP images, but in 34MP (16:9 aspect ratio) or 38MP (4:3 aspect ratio) resolution. Default images taken by the phone having only 5MP resolution, but due to Nokia's way of processing images does is reduce the noise to a minimum level, thus providing you extremely clear photos.
Lumia 1020's camera boasts of lossless zoom, wherein you can crop a small portion of the high-resolution photo without losing any clarity at all. The image quality of Nokia's 5MP images is much better than what you get from any other 5MP camera, and even some 8MP ones . there is no matter about  the light conditions are, the images are  of high quality. Lumia 1020 captures large photos and the level of details is so good that you can even zoom at a particular portion of a picture without worrying about pixelation.But there is big problem we have with Lumia 1020 camera is the slow image processing of both high as well as low-resolution photos.
Another issue is that the smartphone heats up when the camera is used for too long. In fact, if mobile internet is kept active while taking photos, the phone heats up in just 15 minutes.
